Central to Gould’s Farm & Forest Program, the barn provides a platform for experiential learning through organic farming, forestry, and care of the resident sheep, goats, chickens, turkeys, pigs, cows, and draft horses. Farm & Forest is offered as an afternoon activity option in the fall and spring. Each year, students participate in a range of activities, including tapping trees for maple sugaring, using draft horses to harvest trees from Gould’s wood lot, sheep shearing, planting an organic vegetable garden, and assisting local farmers.
